Task Quotient is designed to assess the amount and mixture of a 'task' a person likes doing.
Looking at three (3) types of tasks; routine, trouble shooting and project, the Task Quotient (TQ) is a very simple instrument that 'packs a punch'.
This assessment has been designed with simplicity and effectiveness in mind.
The instrument was developed by Dr Kevin Gazzara while he was working for Intel. Intel was consistently looking for ways to stay on top in their market. Employee motivation and team structure were a huge focus.
The Task Quotient produces a short report that outlines:
- Ideal/preferred mixture of task types
- Current job's actual mixture of task types
- Current job's optimal mixture of task types
- Change needed to move from actual to ideal (preferred) mixture
- Change needed to move the current job to an optimal (efficient) mixture
- An action plan to assist in improving job satisfaction
Task Quotient can be used by managers and development professionals to assist in understanding team motivations and structures. The tool is great for teams and individuals for use in:
